“The Women” was a play written by Clare Boothe (Luce), an American writer, politician, US ambassador, and public figure. A versatile author, she is best known for her 1936 hit play “The Women” which had an all female cast. Her writings extended from drama and screen scenarios to fiction, journalism, and war reportage. She was married to Henry Luce, publisher of Time, Life, Fortune, and Sports Illustrated magazines.

This a great contribution to the celebration of women pre-WW2 as independent, self fulfilling individuals with a few twists and turns that reflect the times in which they lived.
The condition is commensurate with its age and the dust jacked is protected with a clear sleeve with small tears and creases to the paper jacket. There is a scotch tape repair to the upper left corner of the front of the dust jacket that has age to it as well. The pages are clean without any tears of discoloration. There is slight discoloring to the page edges but considered minor at best. The hard cover is clean and without fading.
