Title of bronze work: "le Chant Du Coq." This model is illustrated in the literature: Pierre Kjellberg - Les Bronzes du XIXe Siecle, p.167.

A lovely antique figurine of Rooster sitting on basket. Signed 'A.Cain' who was one among many sculptors worked with F. Barbedienne, a Parisian bronze-founders, the company which strove to the highest quality in castings, was recognize all over the word and received numerous medals at the international exhibitions.

This figurine of Crowing Rooster finished in best of F. Barbedienne's tradition, with much attention to details and high quality. Incredibly natural pose and trivia of rooster brings alive a rooster crowing.

It is in very good condition, with no damage. Original patina with little wear.
