I don’t know much about this octagonal capsule shaped wooden box.
It has great character with metal elements with a warm, dark patina.
In my research, the box is referred to as a possible tea caddy and English dating from the late Georgian or early Victorian eras.
My guess is that the wood used is walnut or mahogany.
